Description

Concept

Why the name? Antonio Citterio chose it as a tribute to Charles Eames. The American designer, architect and film director has always maintained that details are not really just details. They are the very things that make or break design. This statement is enough to introduce Charles, a long- and best-selling product from B&B Italia, in which design is clearly stated in the details. From the upside-down L-shaped feet to the thin, raised base.  There are two versions for In & Outdoor.

The outdoor version maintains the quality of a project for indoors. The core is in light, solid aluminium, and the exterior surface is a polypropylene tape woven with an orthogonal pattern. The result: Charles Outdoor, a seating system with timeless elegance.
