Enveloping and sinuous, the Harbor armchair with armrests stands out for its sculptural design. It comes in two ergonomically designed versions: a relaxing armchair with a high backrest and headrest, and another with a low back fostering conversation. Both come with a swivel base and a visible metal zipper on the rear of the backrest, allowing the cover to be removed. The Harbor armchairs can be matched with an ottoman, onto which a tray can be rested for use as a small table. The series also includes a two-seater sofa.

| Concept | <p><em> “</em>When I was working on Papillo family, I realized that working on a mass of polyurethane foam is the iconic strength of B&B Italia. Hence, the idea for this design is to sculpt a form out of this material as if I was making a sculpture out of Carrara marble blocks. It is true to me that B&B Italia is a brand that creates sculpture in polyurethane.</p> <p>The name Harbor comes from a feeling of having a place to come back to and I also wanted this seat to have a feeling of wrapping around our body.<em>” </em></p> <p><em>Naoto Fukasawa</em></p> |
